Kingston, Loft Conversion

This property is a great example of adding in two bedrooms to an unusable loft space through traditional architecture to maintain the street scene and uphold the nature of the existing dwelling house.

The existing roof was edgy, and not ideal for a comfortable loft space to accommodate new bedrooms and a bathroom. Instead we had to raise the ridge of the existing house, form gable end roof and add, good size cottage dormers to the rear. The current garage was converted into a living space and a further extension to the rear was proposed, demolishing the existing one. A new wraparound extension to the rear was erected to accommodate for a workout/gym area and maintaining an open-plan uniform box internally to fit in a big kitchen, dining and lounge area!
