Kenley, House Rear Extension

This was truly a beautiful property to work on. Although a large development; the client wanted to maximise the land they had on one side of the property while maintaining an access route to the back of the garden from that side. A rear extension with a flat roof, enhanced with an atrium to give it a modern look yet achieve great light levels into that new space was also applied for.

The application site was not easy to work with. The local authority required a complete back and forth of works, along with fire statements and the arboricultural impact assessment due to the tree protection orders in place for the large oak tree at the rear of the property. Amongst the trials and obstacles, we managed to successfully achieve the desired outcome.

Quick structural engineering was applied to the design following approval. Building regs and structural calcs produced and now we are ready to give the client the green light on construction!
